Carbon Footprint Assessment
Cleaner Climate’s approach to carbon footprint measurement has been developed based on a range of inputs including the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, ISO14064, DEFRA, USA EPA and the Australian Department of Climate Change.
International published data from the IPCC, WBCSD, WRI , US EPA and UNFCCC* are also sourced to continually update our GHG emissions factors.
Our methodologies also factor emerging regulation to ensure that a Cleaner Climate carbon assessment remains a robust test of carbon performance. Each report facilitates internal and external benchmarking through quantification of data as KPI's for management and suppliers.
A Cleaner Climate Carbon Footprint Assessment delivers results that are:
- Based on accurate and global best practice methodologies that are continually updated
- Representative of actual operational emissions through identification of appropriate scopes and boundaries
- Credible through the use of an independent external expert
- Presented in a manner that permits analysis and interpretation of data
- Formatted to facilitate ease of dissemination to key stakeholders
- Reportable with a solid baseline for all future assessments
Cleaner Climate and our technical partners have worked with many organisations globally to ensure commercial alignment and best practice reporting standards within the evolving low carbon economy. Life cycle assessments can be performed for businesses and products as well as corporate events such as conferences and concerts.
Energy efficiency and reduction strategies including technological and behavioural change are provided subsequent to the assessment as well as a Cleaner Climate carbon accreditation - the equivalent of becoming ‘carbon neutral’.
